Although still residing in her native Sweden, Anna has been obsessing over Korean music in various forms for the past fifteen years. She supports her CD shopping habit by working as a verification engineer and can during her occasional visits to Seoul most likely be found in Hongdae, checking out some of the bands she writes about on her Korean indie music blog, Indieful ROK.

Green Plugged Festival
Thanks to Eshe who supported the live report with photos, today I came across this piece written by Shawn Despres: Green Plugged Festival @ Noeul Park, Seoul (May 21st, 2010). It mentions performances by No ReplySugar DonutHumming Urban Stereo and W&Whale before turning very enthusiastic over Galaxy Express.

더블유 (W) - Where The Story Ends2집 - Where The Story Ends
For some more on W from the time when they still used their full name, Where The Story Ends, wakesidevision has a a review of the band’s second full length album: Where The Story Ends – Self-Titled Review

Bloody Cookie - 無毒花블러디 쿠키 (Bloody Cookie) - A Curer
Yesterday Chris Park published a couple of reviews for another band that’s gone through a name change, concluding that Story Seller sounded better when they were still going by Bloody Cookie:
블러디 쿠키 (Bloody Cookie) – 무독화 Review
블러디 쿠키 (Bloody Cookie) – A Curer Review

And almost exactly a year since the release of the debut album, new wave inspired electropop/post punk band Telepathy will make a return with sophomore effort Big Wave on September 14. Just like last time the tracklistincludes 넌 마치 U.F.O, but since they’ve changed labels it’ll likely sound a bit different this time.
