At the very beginning of November last year news came that Moonlight Nymph was in critical condition with a cerebral hemorrhage. A few days later it was followed by news of Moonlight Nymph’s death.
Today Korea Gig Guide reports that more than 100 bands will play in his honor this Thursday: 23 Hongdae Clubs Unite to Remember Lee Jinwon.

Came across this image last week. Despite the ‘I couldn’t decide what to wear so I put on everything I own’ look, you do get a sort of punk-ish, ’80s vibe by the looks of them. If you were expecting some edgy electro-punk, however, you’d be disappointed:
At an event hosted by the Ministry of Justice on Tuesday to launch a volunteer group for the G20 Summit in November, the band announced a campaign song to encourage people to abide by the law.
“We’ll try to set examples by obeying rules, even minor ones, as citizens ourselves and work to raise awareness about problems with writing malicious comments on the Internet and illegal downloading,” 2NE1 said.

Realizing I will never have the time to do something useful with all those Korean indie music-related posts I’ve starred in Google Reader over the last few months, here’s a selection of links from the past couple of days:
Malaysia-based entertainment site Voize has provided its audience with an introduction to The Koxx: Meet the Koxx. In case you have yet to check out the electro/rock band yourself, it just so happens that they have 5 out of 6 songs from their first mini album available on MySpace.
Over at Violet Sweets, wassereis has started a new post series called “infocorner” where I’m sure there’ll be plenty of interesting things to learn on selected artists. First up is 10cm: [Infocorner] 10cm.
