Lucia (aka Shim Kyu Sun) will release an album together with Epitone Project on September 7. 고양이 왈츠, 부디, and 꽃처럼 한 철만 사랑해 줄 건가요? from the three singles the two have previously released together will all be included, 고양이 왈츠 also in an acoustic version. 안녕, 안녕 from the album was made available online today, August 25. June 14:


Super popular acoustic duo 10cm have seen their self-released debut The First EP sell out. Now it’s gotten a proper pressing with distribution courtesy of Mirrorball Music.
Four member strong acoustic band Party Street are just about to make a CD debut with the release of EP 그대안에서 헤엄치다. YouTube offers opportunities to sample a couple of the songs on it: 비가 오는 날에는 & 그녀를 잡아요.

Korea’s increasingly crowded festival season kicked off this weekend with the granddaddy of them all, Pentaport.

With Jisan taking place next week — and with the prospect of two festivals in two consecutive weekends not as appealing as it would have been a few years ago — I hadn’t originally planned on going to Pentaport this year. But when I found out that LCD Soundsystem were on the bill on Saturday, my resolve gradually weakened until all it took was a gentle prod from a friend to convince me to go. In the end, a nebulous group of between three and six of us were there, with a bunch of other people I knew in attendance as well.

Realizing I will never have the time to do something useful with all those Korean indie music-related posts I’ve starred in Google Reader over the last few months, here’s a selection of links from the past couple of days:
Malaysia-based entertainment site Voize has provided its audience with an introduction to The Koxx: Meet the Koxx. In case you have yet to check out the electro/rock band yourself, it just so happens that they have 5 out of 6 songs from their first mini album available on MySpace.
Over at Violet Sweets, wassereis has started a new post series called “infocorner” where I’m sure there’ll be plenty of interesting things to learn on selected artists. First up is 10cm: [Infocorner] 10cm.
